Auburn’s 2027 schedule: the three matchups to circle

The 2027 Auburn schedule gives our preseason discussion a set of actual dates. The matchups below are the three I would circle first: tests of roster depth and contender expectations, rather than a claim that preseason national rankings have already settled the league.

As of October 7, 33 regular-season games have been announced, including all 30 SEC games. The rest of the nonconference schedule is still pending; this is a preview of the released slate, not an invented complete schedule.

Our starting point is the preseason outlook. Auburn belongs in the serious conversation. The next step is sustaining that standard when opponents expect it.

Mar 25 – Mar 27 · at Oklahoma

An early road series against the defending national champion tests whether Auburn can maintain its established contender standard.

Apr 9 – Apr 11 · at Georgia

Athens makes the early road slate severe; the reigning SEC champion is a useful benchmark for a team aiming above another solid league finish.

May 7 – May 9 · vs. Ole Miss

The rematch of the 2026 super regional at Plainsman Park supplies both a postseason benchmark and a clear reason for fans to circle May.
