The 2027 Kentucky schedule gives our preseason discussion a set of actual dates. The matchups below are the three I would circle first: tests of roster depth and contender expectations, rather than a claim that preseason national rankings have already settled the league.

As of October 7, 30 regular-season games have been announced, including all 30 SEC games. The rest of the nonconference schedule is still pending; this is a preview of the released slate, not an invented complete schedule.

Our starting point is the preseason outlook. Kentucky knows how to stay in a difficult weekend. I want the new middle-infield responsibilities to make those weekends more manageable.

Mar 19 – Mar 21 · vs. Georgia

Opening home weekend tests Kentucky’s returning offensive pressure against a Georgia team rebuilding after an exceptional season. Watch whether Kentucky protects advantages rather than needing another late rally.

Apr 16 – Apr 18 · at Oklahoma

Second straight road weekend, after Vanderbilt, against the reigning national champion. Pitching depth and defense are the conditions attached to Kentucky’s preseason optimism.

May 20 – May 22 · vs. LSU

Closing home series against LSU’s talented but unsettled October roster. By May these teams should have answered their own role questions; an excellent late check on Kentucky’s postseason staying power.

The SEC schedule

Beyond the conference weekends

Nonconference dates have not yet been released.

Preseason matchup priorities are Series South’s assessment, based on our October outlook. They are not an official poll or a prediction that every selected series will determine the championship.
