The 2027 Ole Miss schedule gives our preseason discussion a set of actual dates. The matchups below are the three I would circle first: tests of roster depth and contender expectations, rather than a claim that preseason national rankings have already settled the league.

As of October 7, 30 regular-season games have been announced, including all 30 SEC games. The rest of the nonconference schedule is still pending; this is a preview of the released slate, not an invented complete schedule.

Our starting point is the preseason outlook. The new names give the offense possibilities. The unresolved innings are still the question with the largest consequences.

Apr 2 – Apr 4 · at Mississippi State

The rivalry is obvious; the pitching examination is the reason it is high on this list. Our Ole Miss outlook needs dependable starting and bridge innings, and a demanding road weekend offers real evidence on whether the staff has found them.

May 7 – May 9 · at Auburn

Auburn belongs in our serious preseason conversation. This road series asks whether Ole Miss’s portal production can translate against a contender across three games, especially when the first pitching plan stops working.

May 14 – May 16 · vs. Oklahoma

Hosting the defending champion gives Oxford its biggest late home benchmark. Oklahoma still has fresh roster questions, but its program ceiling is established; this is the weekend where offensive promise and pitching reliability need to work together.
