The 2027 Texas schedule gives our preseason discussion a set of actual dates. The matchups below are the three I would circle first: tests of roster depth and contender expectations, rather than a claim that preseason national rankings have already settled the league.
As of October 7, 33 regular-season games have been announced, including all 30 SEC games. The rest of the nonconference schedule is still pending; this is a preview of the released slate, not an invented complete schedule.
Our starting point is the preseason outlook. The foundation makes the expectations sensible. Supporting production and three-game pitching reliability still deserve their own examination.
May 7 – May 9 · at Oklahoma
The road trip to the defending national champion is the clearest late-season comparison between two of our leading preseason cases. Texas’s returning talent earns confidence; the test is whether it stays productive through three demanding games.
May 14 – May 16 · vs. Texas A&M
The home rivalry follows Oklahoma immediately. A&M’s returning experience makes this more than a rivalry atmosphere: Texas will need enough usable relief depth to avoid paying for the previous weekend.
May 20 – May 22 · at Georgia
Texas finishes in Athens against another of our first three preseason cases. Georgia’s recent program standard and its lineup turnover create an intriguing contrast with Texas’s returning core. The question is which team can score and defend on an ordinary day.

The announced nonconference dates are Feb 19 — Clemson (neutral site); Feb 20 — TCU (neutral site); Feb 21 — Virginia (neutral site).
